Default need some help

i have a 95 f-150 with the 5.0 and the 4R7OW tranny. recently while driving down the road the tranny started shimming while shifting from drive to overdrive. I looked in my repair manual and it had something about a MPL sensor but that is for the (E4OD) tranny not the 4R7OW trans, any ideas people???

It sounds like your tranny fluid is breaking down, Use Mercon V as that is what Ford recommends in these transmissions now to get rid of the chatter. Good luck!

I agree with the fluid breakdown, but i'd also drop that tranny pan, drain what you can, spray clean that valve body, and a new filter. Lucas and Slick 50 make a nice high milage additive in place of one qt.
