Default 06 f150 4x4 locking problem (fixed)

Hello, I just replaced the drivers side hub assembly and cv shaft on my 2006 F150 4x4 5.4L because of bearing failure, now the drivers side will not lock all it does is make a racheting sound under acceleration. Anyone have any ideals?

Finally found my problem after alot of hit and miss. The problem was in the actual locking hub, it was packed full of sand and dirt, not letting it fully disengage when vacuum is applied. Very poor design, there is no real seal to keep dirt and sand from getting between the diaphram and housing. Now goes in and out of 4WD with no problems.

Sorry for not catching this. Been super busy. I was going to suggest checking the vacuum lines, but looks like you found the problem. Thanks for sharing the fix. I will mark this thread as fixed for future reference.
