4x4 hub ring broken

4x4 hub ring broken
94 4x4 f-150, changing the auto hubs, front axle to manual hubs, the ring you have to squeeze to remove the hub assy broke. One of the ears is there but the other broke off, any ideas on removing the snap ring, anyone else had this problem? looks like i might try cut off wheel to try and expose the ring, any ideas????
