02 5.4 spark plug change

what is the best way to change plugs, with cold engine or warmed up.I heard they have a tendency to strip in head

I have a 3 inch body lift onmy 03 FX4, I want to change plugs but was told I need to drop eng/tran in order to be able to pull 7 and 8 sparkplugs. Would the body lift be enough so I would not have to do that?

I just changed plugs in my 02 with 5.4 which took me about 1.5 hrs.I didn't drop engine down, they aren't easy but are do-able.I ran a can of seafoam in tank prior to plug removal.good luck

So you lifted the body 3" up off the frame? Then I would think you have enough room to get at the plugs.
