1997 f150XL 4.2 v6

I own a 1997 ford f-150 4.2l v6
Out if no where I went to start it one morning and put int he key turned and all I heard was one small click and nothing else. I took my battery in and had it tested p, it was bad and I replaced it, but then when trying to restart it..the same thing. So I took off the starter and took it in to be tested and it as well was shot, so I replaced it. Got in excited to start it up and the same exact thing. Does anyone have any ideas? Need so,e help

When voltage issues occur, they can take out lots of things. Check your starter regulator and replace then check all your grounds - chassis, battery and engine.

I took out the voltometer today and tested around for continuity then realized that the so called "pro" who described the wiring to me from my local auto store had no clue what he was talking about and bullcraped his whole way through it. So I ended up fixing it after finding a wire he claimed was for towing but really needed to be connected.

Either the battery has gone dead or it could be an ground problem too.
