2002 f150 Just started to not turn over
 

I just got to 100000 miles. My f150 on two occasions now has not turned over. There is no noise or anything. It is almost like the battery is dead. But it isn't. The first time it happened that is what I thought it was. But I tried latter in the day and it fired up fine. Then this morning after work same thing would not turn over several times. About the fifth try it turned over. What might be my problem? I don't want to get stranded somewhere and not have it start. Thanks

If you haven't already, check your battery cables and make sure their tight. Then check your ground and make sure it's good. Also check to make sure the cables are corroded. They can look good on the outside but be all busted up inside.

When you tried turning it over and there was no noise, did your interior lighting come on?

Had this same problem on mine..if you google it there is a "series" of things you have to do to reset it. it involves locking unlocking the door,headlights on and off..somthing like that.. try flipping your key over and pay attention to the theft light flasses, the way it blinks is a code to tell you the problem hope this helps..after my restet formt he combo lock and unlock ive never experienced it again
