First F150, have some questions...

I have added to the collection a 1998 F150. 4.6, M5OD. 2WD, 3 Door. 168K on the clock. I paid $900 for it.
I've got a bunch of Ford stuff, a few Rangers, a Grand Marquis and a Bronco, but this is the first F150 that I've pulled the trigger on.
Brought it home, and did the majority of the maintenance on it. Fresh filters and fluids, plugs, wires, grease job, all that fun stuff.
The truck seems to run and drive great. the body is very rusty, but the frame looks pretty solid.

Ran into a few issues, I couldn't get the front wheels off, and the gas tank ended up being shot. I pulled the bed off, put in a new gas tank, ran all new rear brake lines, fixed the exhaust, and threw a set of rear shocks on it while I was at it. I guess I forgot to mention that the truck has, or rather, HAD a sunroof of some kind at one point. When I was on my way home after purchasing it, the piece of plexi-glass that was duct taped over the gaping hole in the roof flew away. The windshield wipers don't work, neither do the power windows or the dome lights in the cab.

Today I got my probe out, and the window switches aren't even getting power to them. I have power to one terminal on the plug that goes to the wiper motor, but wasn't getting power at any of the other terminals with the switch on. All fuses are good and are getting power at the appropriate times. I inspected a lot of wires and didn't find any breaks or evidence of wear or abrasion. Did a bit of googling, found a few people with similar symptoms on various Ford models, claiming the culprit was the GEM. I've had good luck on the Ford Forums before, so I decided the time had come to post about it. Figured I get your opinions and see what you all thought.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated,
Art

Art,

It sounds like you bought a boat.

Keep posting on your progress, it will give inspiration to others to get their ride up to par.
