I have a 1997 Ford F150, with the 4.6 v8. I have had this issue for a while now, but it seems to continuously get worse in time. When it first started happening it would seem to happen after I would get on it for a while. Now it seems to only happen when I take a left turn going faster than 20mph and when the turn has a bend greater than 45 degrees. If it happens while I take a turn than it usually happens a lot afterwards when I hit some hard bumps in the road. When it happens the engine will completely shut off and all power to the entire truck will go out aswell. Its only off for about a second or less and then goes right back to normal. Occasionally it will continue to stutter at 2000 rpm and drop to 3-500 rpm and back up. I do have a check engine light on and it is for the egr. about 3 months ago the egr was replaced but the code came back. I checked the egr tube to see if maybe that was the problem but I didn't see anything that looked bad on it. Im going to take it off and look at it better and make sure its not rusting. Another thing that I have notice it that the main power line from the battery runs right next to the passenger side exhaust manifold and it had seemed to have chewed through it over time. I have put heat wrap on it and zip tied it away from the manifold since then. Im not really sure what could be the problem with it at this point, and if any of you all have any ideas I am all ears at this point.
