5.4 Triton 2007 HELP!
 

Hey, first post on the forum. So the problem, i instaled a CAI 2 days ago and worked just fine when instaled, yesterday i noticed some lag upon acceleration but nothin to bad. Today i noticed the check engine and pluged in a reader, i saw it was readin a fuel rail pressure, then proceeded to change it. Crank it up again the problems start( as u will see in attached video, i take it out and put the old one back on. I then notice that the mass airflow sensor was a bit lose and did not “click” into place so I went and bought another one, pluged it in but same problem. The truck starts but then rpms drop the truck shakes and black smoke coming out of exhaust. Not sure what to do.

Background info: ive had this truck for about 1 year now, Its a 2007 King Ranch that my dad passed to me. It had a new engine and transmission put into it about 5 years ago, so the truck is still reading the previous kilometers that it had, but it should be at at about 50-60k (Miles) range. The truck has always been super sluggish and slow, really good torque on low rpms, super good with the 4x4 but thats about all its good for lol. About 2 months ago I noticed that the engine would start to “roar” every now amd then, it pretty much sounded like a Semi and would not get moving at all, super super slow, even more than before, and it would do it sometimes but other times it would sound normal, so thats why i thought the CAI would be a good Idea to see if making it breath better would help, which it did for 2 days and now it only shakes and throws black smoke lol. And it has been a lemon ever since my dad bought it brand new in Mexico many things have been put into it.
