Default Greetings From NC

Hi, I'm Bob. Trent and I are practically neighbors, and I can't believe we have never met in person!

I'm a Senior Engineer with IBM, 39 years with them coming up June 19th. I've worked in the field of semiconductor development for most of those 39 years.

For hobbies, I have an electronics shop at home, and I will tinker with anything electronic. I've had a rash of flat panel TVs and monitors lately, most of them have had bad electrolytic caps in the power supplies. My other hobby is photography, the link to my photo sharing site is in my signature. I'm also a volunteer photographer for Duke Gardens.

Hey Bob!
One of my brothers worked for IBM a while ago during college, but as a software geek. I'm guessing you're more of an electrical engineer?

He was in Beaverton, Oregon. After college he decided to program GPS software for Garmin. Actually he took another job in Beaverton a few months ago, maybe he is back at IBM...?

Oh nevermind, I guess he is with Wind River Systems now which was bought out by Intel. Being that he is in the Beaverton area, he probably works remotely from one of the many Intel branches up there.
