Default My Turn...

What can I say? I think most of you know who me as brianjwilson from ranger-forums or a number of other places. I've had a few fords (Explorers, Rangers, F150) so I normally stick around the forums, looking for new ways to spend my money or help someone else spend theirs.

For now I'm driving an 06 F150 with a few mods, and I'm going to try to hold on to it longer than the last few vehicles my wife and I have driven!
We live in Kentucky but we're from Oregon, hoping to go back soon. I took a job out here flying a helicopter for a coal mining company over two years ago, it seemed like a great idea at the time but we can't wait to leave.

Looking forward to having a new forum to play around on though!

Hi Brian! I love the rotary wing aircraft! I made a trip to AZ last year to one of our plants and got to sit in and 'fiddle' with an Apache AH64 that was ready to deliver. I had a moment.....

I saw one of those fly over my house last year, the EAA air show is not far from my place. I've seen a B1B, A B2, a F117 a B52, and many many others. A formation of C5 galaxy flew over on day. Another time 14 C17s flew over in formation.

The scariest part of my work day is the drive to and from work.
Accidents happen anywhere, any aircraft is only as safe as the person flying it and maintaining it I guess. Initially it is scary for some people, even as students. After instructing for a couple of years, sending several people to 13 different FAA check rides, it's not so scary. I have practiced and taught emergency procedures over and over again, and I continually practice. The biggest thing is knowing when to say no. There are occasionally scary moments, but still far less stressful than driving back and forth. lol

I love my job. Well, I love my career, my current job sucks sometimes.
I'll have to drag up some pictures and post them some time...
