Default my new computer

My old computer gave up last night so I picked up this one.
I went 8 gb memory and put my Nvidia GeForce 8400 in it before
I turned it on. I run a lot of imaging software and my old
Compaq struggled bad with it. Not anymore!!!

Nice, should serve your needs well.

I want a MacBook Air for the portability and convenience factor.

Max the ram out Tom!

This should serve you well. Hopefully when you're last one crapped out, it didn't take any files with it.

I do redundant backups on two external hard drives so I didn't loose anything. I already put it to eight meg of ram and have a 512mb video card I pulled from the old computer. I wanted a 1gb video card but the store people said I need a bigger power supply. There are cards in between the 512 and the 1gb. I don't know where the cutoff is.

I do redundant backups also. My iMac has a drive that is constantly connected and backs up hourly. I have a WD Passport that I use to back up photos and then i have a iDrive and a Dropbox that my most important items go.

A 300 watt power supply doesn't give you much room at all for future expansions.
