1984 Ford F-150 stalls when I hit the gas at the light

Got a 84 Ford F-150 5.0 302 automatic rebuilt 2barrel carb my issue when I take off from light if I hit it to hard it stalls I changed the air filter and put some new gas in it (recently just bought)need to know what's going on fuel pump? I looked best I could for cracked hoses or leaks it does need a new alternator any ideas where I should start?

Yeah, check your fuel pump pressure. Is your choke closing maybe ? Fuel filter clogging?

Does it happen every time?

What carburetor do you have ?
