Electrical issues
 

I`m having electrical issues with my 84 f150. the battery will hold a charge for awhile. but if its damp or rains it starts acting up and the battery dies. I installed a new voltage regulator and a new alternator.I would like to change the voltage regulator connector The connector on the truck has four wires a heavier gage orange wire a green wire and two yellow wires which only one is being used. the new connector has one green, two yellow, two white and one black . It is the only one for my truck I could find. I could use some advise on if I can and how to splice in new connector. I`m not sure if its the problem but I have to start somewhere. Thanks
