Default bolt pattern

newbie question. Is the bolt pattern on the 1990 f150 a 5x5.5? And are there any other factory ford wheel that fits our 87-96 trucks? Thank you in advance, Tony

1990 is a 5.5, i cant remember what year they switched, im wanting to say 1996 they went to metric and the old style wont fit. Not 100 percent on the year the switched though.

Default Researched and end results

1980-1996 BOLT PATTERN 5x139.7mm 5x5.50" Stud Size 1/2"x20mm Hub/ CenterBore 87mm OffSet 0-20mm
1997-2004 BOLT PATTERN 5x135mm 5x5.31" Stud Size 14mmx2" Hub/ CenterBore 87mm OffSet 0-20mm

I wanted to use the rims of my 98 F150 on the 87 stepside I am buying but The rims wont bolt up. You could have a machine shop make ovals of the mounting holts to fit but keep in mind rims are heat treated after they are machined from the factory. I am concerned about the safety factor. There are adapter kits on ebay for like 100 bucks, but this would put the rim outward. I have 4 Brand new good year wrangler 225x75x16 inch tires ..... and I am in the process of buying an 1987 ( my 1998 scummed to rust).

What I cant find the answer on is if I can take my rear end and my spindles from a 98 and put them on a 87.
Chances are I will just end up listing my 16 inch tires on craigslist or something
