I just purchased a 90 f150 time capsule!!! I looked up the old reviews and it said for 2wd long bed 300 6cyl auto it was rated at 7500lbs. What do you haul with yours in comparison? Do not want to over do it on the ole boy. I do have a light car trailor and a 78 mustang ll both together is about 4100. Would that be ok on the truck?

 

I know the 300 is a good low rpm high torque motor. I think you would be ok with that combo you mentioned, if need be throw an add a leaf for extra height and tow away.
