2010 F-150 Supercrew Lariat4x4 Fuel MPG
I just purchased a 2010 F150 4x4 5.4L and took it on a 600 mile trip. My average MPG was 16, calculated manually running 70 - 75 mph. I drove mostly with the crusie off due to down shifting at every encline when on. Is this normal? I don't expect anything in the 20's but was hoping for 18. What if any, mods could be done to get a 2-3 mpg bump?
The 5.4L is not considered to be a gas sipper. I saw improved MPG when I changed the exhaust to one that is less restrictive, put a CAI on it and an Edge on board programmer. I was getting 19 mpg consistently.
