Hi, I have a 2012 F150 and I just want to know if anyone here has installed any tail gate assist shocks. I read on some forums that there are cases where some have been scraping on the metal panel when not installed properly. I'm looking for something that can be installed easily. I have 02 F150 and bought this one:
Easy enough to install. I did not have any issues installing the kit.

It is better than just letting the tailgate drop on its own but I do wish there was a little more damping on the opening. We shall see how long it lasts.
