Hey everyone! So I have been looking at getting some sort of lock box or something that i can fit my weapon in while driving through a state that my IA carry permit wont work in and could secure to the floor of my truck. I came accross this company - consolevault.com and it looks pretty neat.. THe 'safe' just goes into the center console and your done.. Seems like it would work for my needs pretty well, and it doesnt seam like you will loose much space.

What do you all think?

 

If I had extra money lying around I would get one, they are a little pricey though. I'll probably just get a basic lockbox and put it in the console.

I've looked at those before, I like them. But they aren't cheap either.
The only practical use I see is locking a pistol in the truck while you are away.
If it has to be locked in there during transit to be legal you might as well unloaded it and throw it under the back seat or something though.

 

Yeah, I really like them. They give special pricing to military, so i will call and see what they are offering price wise.. If its the right price ill get it.. I figure I can use it for more than just my weapon, ie, ipod, wallet, sunglasses, etc. anything that i want a little more secure.. and if i am going into a store that doesnt allow you to carry, i can just throw the weapon in there, lock it up and i know its secure

yeah they are nice.. So i called the company, and told them i am military and would like to purchase a console vault for my truck, and was wondering about the 'special discount pricing' their website talks about for military.. She quoted me the EXACT price that was on the website, BUT i get free shipping because i am military.. WTF.. Their "special discount pricing" is free shipping?! lol.

 

Free shipping is better than a kick in the wiener!
