help please

i have a 86 ford f150 4x4, when i go in reverse, the top of the front tires toe in ( the top of the tires point in toward the frame) replaced the ball joints, and shocks, could it be the coil springs?...i know it needs a alignment, but a alignment isnt gonna do this, atleast i dont think, any help would be greatly appreciated

Check the steering rods and rack for wear and tear.

I would look for inner wear cause I know you have checked your wheel bearings. For the tops of the tires to point in means the bottoms are moving out. Look at your inner parts for badly worn bushings, maybe even bent broken parts maybe the springs, look em over with a flash light, truck jacked up and on jack stands. Your badly parts wise for sure and unsafe mostly. If the steering geometry can move up too much, the nose of the truck dropping down the wheel will change their geometry with the ground and alignment. Usually a spring will break, but it may be cracked still, not moved around a bunch. If you have witnessed a lot of rough road/pot hole driving I would think springs and shocks along with damaged parts. MOOG has some nice parts for ya

Check the Axle pivot bushings at the cross member mounts for play, Use a pry bar and try to move them up and down. I've seen this happen before when they are badly worn. The bushings are cheap and you can use a ball joint press to remove and reinstall. Good luck
