1995 F-150 5.8L check engine

I have a 1995 F-150 4 wheel drive 5.8L crew cab with 91,000 miles. The check eng. light comes on under hard throttle and when pulling a trailer on a grade. Any answer would be appreciated. Thanks, Ted

It can be anything that has to do with fuel/air management. See if you can pull any codes. Most auto parts stores will do a free code read for you.
