1995 F150 Turning off while driving
So this has happened twice now, and I’m afraid to continue to drive it before I can fix what’s wrong. The truck just completely shuts off while I’m driving, no warning signs, no rumbling, no fluctuating needles, just turns off. Both times it happened I took my foot off the gas, coasted, and slowed down to come to a turn. Both times it was a left turn (don’t know if that’s important or just coincidence). When it shuts off the check engine light and battery light come on. The first time it happened my boyfriend messed with the spark plugs and thought one of them felt loose. It started up again after that and after pushing the gas while trying to start it. The second time I just revved it while starting it and it slowly built up and turned back on. It’s been sitting for a couple months because I haven’t had time to work on it. But I also don’t know where to start. Someone said it could just be old/bad spark plugs, someone else said the fuel injector, another person said the alternator…. I still go out and turn it on for like 20 mins at a time and rev it up to keep the fluids and everything good. It has no problem starting or staying on when it’s sitting there parked. Any ideas what could be causing this?
