Picked up a 1990 F150 a while back. My winter truck and hauler for the shop. Not real pretty, but the engine runs great.

Nice! I'd love a extended cab short bed in that generation, love the straight lines.

Needed a bit of work, has a busted radius arm bracket, the center fuel tank had several holes in it, the fuel pumps didn't work, and a few other odds and ends. Just about everything is fixed now. Need to check a motor mount tomorrow, I think I have a bad one.

not bad for 20 years old!

Question is Dan, whos doing the wrenching :p

danthurs 01-13-2011 10:27 AM

I do all my own work. Don't trust anyone else. I get tons of cars in my shop, keeps me busy.

By the time you get done wrenching on it, you'll have a nearly new truck!

danthurs 01-13-2011 08:12 PM

Lots of new parts already, a few more and I'll be all done.

For awhile there buddy, I was thinking that maybe pulling of the radiator cap and slipping a new truck under it would be a better idea.

No way, truck has a good engine and drive train. Frame is in great shape. The exhaust needs to be replaced from the heads to the tail pipe though.
