I'm having a now long term issue with my 1987 F150 with the solenoid sticking and keeping the starter engaged. To the point of burning my starter out yesterday. This is after 5 new solenoids in the past year. I installed a new starter and solenoid yesterday and the sticking solenoid is still happening. Normally I pop the hood and grab my small ball peen hammer from under the drivers side seat and lightly tap the solenoid and it releases. But I'm tired of that nonsense and I'm wondering if one of y'all can suggest a permanent repair. Thank you.
