Default Audio set up

Okay, my Pops speakers sound like CRAP now and is in need of replacement. I have a fair sense of audio set ups but I know nothing about his trucks set up. He has the 6 disc changer, and stock everything. In my 07 civic I have Polk MM components all the way around powered by a 1200w pioneer amp (SO LOUD), with a 15 inch Polk MM SVC in the back. He really likes jammin on his way to work so i was thinking of doing a similar set up. But moneys tight, so im wondering what are some good drop ins i could use? Something that can handle the abuse of an old metal head without blowing up in a few months. Worse comes to worse, im willing to drop an amp and some decent components in. Feel free to email me at chrisrisl@yahoo.com or drop me a PM with your thoughts/opinions. If anything, just the specs of the stock system would help

I would replace the speakers first, then worry about other components. I pulled my stock speakers and put in Boston Acoustic's and drove them off the stock deck and amp for about a year and had no problems, with decent sound. I later changed the deck out and put in a Pioneer AV1, Bluetooth and am iPod adapter.
