Default HVAC Problem

Just this morning, all the air is coming out the dash vents, and changing the direction settings has no effect.

Has anybody else had this problem? How easy is it to pull the control panel out, and get to the vacuum motors?

Thanks!

It is really easy to remove the front panel, but the only thing on that panel is electrical plugs. Maybe that is your problem though...?
That bezel pops out with a flathead screw driver or trim tool. Be careful not to break any tabs.

Here is a link to my write-up when I installed my spec usa ipod controller, you can see where the clips are if it helps. I need to post the write-up over here I suppose...

Mine had a issue just like that, it turned out to be the actual switch unit in the bezel. Replaced it with another one off eBay and it works fine now.

Thanks Trent! Are all 3 controls in one unit? Did you price it from the
dealer?

Yeah its all 1 thing if I remember correctly. Dealer wanted a lot for it, 170 from Tasca, dealer was more. I ended up getting a whole bezel for under 100 dollars on eBay. Its been over a year so I don't remember all the details but I think thats right.

Great! If you don't mind, I'll take a look at it to see if the problem is something electronic.

Mine worked just fine on the way home this afternoon!

Where and when would you want to meet up?
