Transmission problems
I have a 2008 Ford F-150 4.2L V6 automatic transmission. I will post the codes I have below. The issues I am having is when I try to start moving from a reduced speed or stopped, it has trouble going. It will creep forward slowly no matter how much throttle I give it. After 5-10 seconds it will slam into gear. Also sometimes it will completely act as if I am in neutral when driving. When this happens I shift into 2nd gear and it will drive. It does not always do this. Sometimes it drives perfectly and other times it does what I stated above. Also, my speedometer fluctuates up and down while I am driving. The transmission only acts up when the speedometer is not working. I think it has to with something electrical because sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. I have replaced the MAF sensor and the speed sensor located on the transmission. It has not helped any. Was thinking on tracking the wire on the speed sensor back to see if it is damaged anywhere. Any feedback or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks.P0171 - Powertrain
