Default 09 and newer F150 owners

Anybody on here own a 09 or newer F-150 we could talk about the differences between the 04 to 08 models and the new one's.

For example IMO the brakes on the 10 are the cats ***, I owned an 04 FX4 and traded it in on the 10. The brakes are much harder and stop u on a dime, as in comparison to the mushy felling pedal on the 04

One problem I do have is, when the snow melts from my rear window ice builds up between the box and cab and makes the crunching noise. I hope that it doesn't scratch the paint.
There isn't much room for the snow and ice to fall though there.

Every truck I've owned has done that. I just knock enough off so it doesn't rub.

my dad got a '10 with the 5.4 and the new 6 speed trans is sweet. yeah the first time i hit the brakes my head almost hit the steering wheel.

ive got a '04 5.4, 4 speed and seems like it could use another gear, but it's an awesome truck too.

Surprised you like the 6-speed transmissions.

i guess i like keeping the rpms below 2500 for normal driving and i usually take OD off to make it "seem" like theres another gear, then put it on when getting close to speed.

so far that 6 speed is just smooth. ive heard the stories of the clunking when put into gear and downshifting on the highway but its never done anything weird, yet.

i kinda like my steering wheel cruise control better cause thats how they always were! even though it was before the SYNC stuff.

Hopefully the transmission won't give you any trouble either. My Dad has a 2011 for a work vehicle and lately it has been giving him all kinds of trouble. Clucking and jerking on shifts and not shifting in to gear at all. He had to keep starting it up and shutting it off over and over one time to get it to shift in to reverse.
