F150 xlt super cab safety standard?

Hi , I have bought a new truck, I was told that most trucks unlike regular vehicles do not have a specific safety standard and do not meet those standards. Is this true?

I can't tell where you live, but in the US there are federal safety standards that cover ALL motor vehicles.
