Ford quality going down hill ?
Anyone else have issues like this? Very disappointed with Ford. My F150 is a 2016 with only 40k on it and a few months ago my transmission pan started leaking due to excessive rust and had to be replaced. Then last week I noticed more fluid leaking, this time from the transmission cooler lines being rotted out. $900 and 2 trips to the dealer later Im hoping something else isn’t going to happen. I have a 2008 explorer with 180k on it and its held up better than that. Another instance like that and I'm going to be considering moving to another manufacturer.

I have a 2020 and have not experienced any issues like that nor have I heard of rust causing leaks in a transmission pan in a low mileage late model truck. Was there any existing damage to the pan that may have caused a leak? Do you live in an area that uses a lot of road salt?

Ford's quality is definitely hurting. In 2019, I bought an Escape Titanium and it was the perfect runabout/trip/commuter. Great gas mileage and handling, but no trailer capability to speak of. I traded it and my '03 Hemi Ram (which was just sitting in the yard - only 984 miles in the last year) for an Explorer Limited. It needed a transmission over-haul at 14K (!) and was still not right. Electrical gremlins, annoying failures of the audio system and GPS. I traded it for a '20 Explorer ST. Still have it and love it, even though Ford can't fix the backup camera.
