Default Overheating issue at low speed

Hey everyone, I’m new to this forum stuff so please bare with me. I have a 2016 F150 Lariat with the 5.0, 2wd. It has about 190,000 miles on it currently. Lately it has been getting hot when I’m going slow, like 30 mph. If I come to a stop and idle it goes down, if I speed up to around 50 and up it goes down also. The temp will read around 226-241, and the fans come on. I have no idea what is causing this. I replaced the water pump a few months ago when it went bad as well as the heater hose cause it had a small leak in it. I have checked the oil and it doesn’t appear to have coolant in it and there are no leaks that I can see. My driveway is clean so I don’t know where it would be leaking from. Side note, it’s not hot out right now, so I don’t think the ambient air temp is a factor here. Any advice would be helpful, thank you.

Sounds like the thermostat has gone bye-bye.

Could also be a cooling fan failure. Is the fan driven by a belt, or is it electric?

its an electric fan. I did have to add some coolant yesterday. It seems to be leaking but I have no idea where it’s going. Everything is dry and there is no coolant in the oil.

Yeah, I realized that after I posted. It would have to be electric, since it's a transverse-mounted engine. Any white smoke from the exhaust after normal start-up? Coolant can only escape a couple ways: leaking or burning. No puddles on the ground?

no smoke or anything, no puddles anywhere. I’m gonna change the thermostat and see if that fixes it, it’s all I can think.
