Hey, Just picked up a new truck. I don't have a lot in it, but cash is really tight right now. Anyway the po is a POS who covered up as many flaws as he could and lied his *** off. Bottom line is that I like the old girl and want to keep her. She leaks from everywhere, is missing power steering cap, has exhaust leak, and neither fuel tank registers on the gas gage. She also sucks fuel like crazy. I know its a thirty year old truck and I expect they're gonna be little things all the time but I plan to work them out as I can. She seems to have the 5.8 4v engine, with an auto (c6 ??) I don't know. any suggestions, advice, ideas to help me? A tune up is on the way, but o far I've got the trans leakage down to nearly nothing and corrected the tire pressure. I'd really like to get the fuel usage somewhere liveble. All responses welcome.
