On my 83 f150 4x4 5.8liter pickup, it will turn over but not crank, or run. I've replaced the starter solenoid, starter, coil, fuel filter, the ignition module and cleaned the carb. The battery is 3 years old and good, from what I'm told from our local parts retailer. The mechanical fuel pump is two years old. Does anyone have any suggestions before I have it towed to have it repaired? I'd rather fix it myself.

 

Check your grounds to the motor.

 

You say it turns over, but doesn't crank. Isn't that almost the same thing? Unless it turns over one rotation or so. Does it crank/turn over enough to check spark? I got something going on like this too.

 

have u checked to see if u are getting spark or fuel?
