Belt “walking” to front of crank pulley
My 97 3 door xlt has a squeaking sound at the belt. Changed idler pulley, tensioner asm, alternator and belt to eliminate the squeak. After changing everything one at a time, the belt started walking toward the rad and separated at the first groove. Put all original components back on and still walks. Happens as soon as the engine cracks on the driver’s side of the crank pulley.
Has anyone seen this? If so, how did you fix it?
