Default Help parking brake

Guys last night I jump in the truck and started driving home. Notice a smell like I left my parking brake on. Pulled the release to make sure and its fine. But the problem is the parking brake isnt releasing. What could be the problem? Cable?

Could be. Try having someone engage and release the parking brake while you look to see if the cable is moving. If it isn't, than you may need a new cable. If the cable is moving, you may have a caliber that is seizing. You will need to isolate which one it is. I had this problem with my '04. If a caliber is seizing it will be very, very hot. It may even smoke a bit. Other than that, I'm not sure what else it could be.

I agree, and be sure to check out the rotor and pads for damage and warping.

I upgraded my parking brake system by taking the hardware out. This was after the second time they piled up. Both times on the drivers side

Brake dust on the rim... sure sign.

Honestly David, back to factory hardware with the exception of maybe pads / rotors. Greenstuff (if they make em for the f150) may be a good solution.
