removing remnants of old gasket

Default removing remnants of old gasket
this isn't as clean as I want it, and not sure where to proceed from here

I have already used foaming engine degreaser on it, and given it a pretty liberal 1600 psi pressure washing

So, I bought some of those wheels. But instead of the coarser green, went with the higher grit white

Just have around. I am sure this won't be the last time I will ever need them
