Default 2008 4.6L K&N Install

Just a quick question....I am very far from being mechanically savy; with that said, how hard is the install of a k&n cai? Is it something a novice could fairly easily take on?

The K&N CAI kit is very easy to install. You will need a few tools and some time. Just follow the directions and you will be fine.

I have been told that on some models that this system makes no diference in power. Check on here to see if your model and engine size has been done with good results. Also, with the K&N air filter you will need to get a can of spray for your Mass Air Sensor and clean it each time that you change your oil, or, it will malfunction from the oil build up from the K&N air filter from the red oil spray that it takes to keep the dirt out.
However, it took mine over a year to start to cause problems from the K&N air filter.

When you clean your K&N filter and re-oil, you only want to spray a light coat on the outside (just to where it turns pink) and DO NOT SOAK IT. I have never had to clean my MAF with any K&N filter or after cleaning and re-oiling.
