has anyone ever put a performance chip on a 2008 4.2 liter v-6 f-150 and if so what wires am i suppose to hook it to thanks

 

It depends on the make and manufacturer. They are all different and also different depending on your engine size. I would go to the manufacturers web site and look for an install manual.

IMO - You would be much happier with a programmer that runs through the ODB like the Edge. You can program more changes on more points and make adjustments to octane level, tire size, etc.
