Default Buying advice

Hi I am new here. Have a 1998 ranger daily driver, which I am looking to replace with an F150. Here is what I am looking at...

2007 STX supercab 4.6L V8 36k miles
2008 STX 4.2L V6 57K miles
2005 Supercab lariat 5.4 Triton V8 12k miles only

Firstly,
Which one would you pick and why?
Which one would you not pick and why?

Secondly,
For the 2005 12k miles 5.4 triton v8, I was told it has a bad rap for engine issues. How bad are these engines?
At what mileage can I expect to start seeing the infamous engine troubles, should I miss out on the first two?

Just to elaborate I am looking to replace my 98 Ranger daily driver with an F150, any of the above. I don't a need to tow RVs etc. Main consideration is it's a daily driver and occasional Lowes runs, etc. So luxury packages and power are not a main point of concern.

Triton's were are notorious for eating spark plugs when you try to pull them out.

Just google each engine/year and look for common issues. That will help you narrow your choices down.

IMO, I'd keep the Ranger if you have the space for it. Im sure its fuel sipping would come in handy sometime over the F150. If the F150 is going to be your only vehicle, I'd highly recommend keeping the Ranger for backup purposes. does hit the fan.
