Transmission 2004 xlt 2wheel drive
Just bought 2004 xlt, nice
. 40k and 4speed auto 2 wheel drive, have question about
Trans, it seems to only shift three gears with the OD off and rpm at about 2000 at 40 -45 mph, does anyone know if this is normal or am I dealing with a problem?

The 4 2peed is actually a 3 speed with OD. Your speed and RPM's look about right with the OD off. I would recommend a transmission flush and filter change though. I had a 2004 FX4 and by-passed that preventative measure and ended up dynamiting my transmission at 70K and Ford wouldn't cover it because I hadn't kept up on the recommended PM.
