91 ford f150 5.8l, lifted auto tranny(e4od brand new),manual hubs; Recently was playing in snow locked in hubs ,truck in neutral,shifted to 4 low no problem......went to get back in 2wd truck in neutral,shifted out of 4low unlocked hubs, but dash still reads 4 low. I can get under truck and spin front shaft freely,get in step on gas only rear tires spin etc.....but dassh still says 4 low and trucks rpms rise and fall when pressing gas in drive......I dont know need help from sum1 smarter than me???:

 

Put the truck in reverse and back up 25' or so. See if it clears.

 

Well afterdealing with the 4x4 issue most of the day.....FINALLY got it out of 4 low. After playing with transmission shifter and transfer case shifter at the same time its back in 2hi no 4x4 lights on dash and tranny is shifting perfect again.....so even after making me feel like an idiot most of today..i still love my truck!
