Default 2008 f150 torque converter

Hi all, I'm new to this forum and also the proud new owner of a 2008 f150 5.4 4wd. I got a great deal on the truck because owner said it had transmission problems. The truck has 85k miles on it and it seems to drop in and out of overdrive when cruising at highway speeds. It seems to start doing it now at lower speeds when I'm either not accelerating or barely accelerating. It runs great when I turn overdrive off.

I've been led to believe that this is likely the torque converter due to how it locks up in overdrive and am under the impression that it needs replaced.

Any recommendations on a good torque converter? I've searched the web forever and can't find any good info on the converter in these. I'd like stock stall I believe. Or any other recommendations on what could be wrong

Talked with my buddy at a transmission shop about know issues with these trucks before buying mine, he told me about the TQ lock-up shudder.

"I never recommend repairs in a bottle, but this is one of the very few exceptions... drop the pan, change the filter and add two tubes of Shudder Fix when you refill it"

I make no promises other than that it's super cheap thing to try vs replacement....good luck!
