2010 4.6 3v, fluctuating RPM while driving and also vibrations.
Hello all, I would greatly appreciate some input on various issues I am having with my 2010 F150, she has a 4.6 3v with 155,xxx miles on her. I’ve had it for almost 5 years and had no major issues until somewhere around a year or two ago it would randomly, vibrate, or maybe jerk, it was random and I blamed it on bumps on the highway for the longest time until a month or so ago. I noticed my RPM needle bouncing while coasting down the road, ONLY when I had pressure applied to the gas pedal, I for the life of you couldn’t say what gear it is in while happening (never thought to pay attention) but it doesn’t happen in every gear, how I came to this conclusion is by applying pressure to the gas pedal and feeling it shift down, and in the lower gear the RPM doesn’t bounce and there is no vibrations, oh yeah, when the RPM is bouncing, after it reaches its lowest point in the bounce (assuming this is where it should be if there were no issue, while coasting) when the RPM bounces up (not even 500rpm mind you, at any time) there is a very noticeable vibration. It only happens while applying pressure to the gas pedal in certain gears, the slower I am traveling the worse the vibration is. I’ve adapted to the issues and learned when to remove pressure from the gas so it doesn’t happen often but I’m absolutely clueless and cannot afford to sparingly change parts or have mechanic inspect it and find nothing wrong. I’ve tested the airflow sensor, by removing it then trying to drive it and the truck ran very horrible without it. I’ve been told by friends and family it could be spark plugs, coils, tranny, torque converter, black magic, and a curse. I can provide video of the RPM bouncing if needed, and also try to capture the vibration as well. Any and all useful/experienced input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
- The issue has worsened since I initially noticed it a month or so ago.

Same with my 2014
