2023 F150 Transmissions Failure 19,600 miles
I own a 2023 F150 King Ranch that broke down with 19,600 miles while entering Mississippi. It was towed to a Ford dealer in Meridian, where I left it for two weeks while continuing my trip. During that time, the dealer called multiple times, stating they ran several tests, drove the truck for days, and sent OBDI data to Ford, but found no issues.
I picked up my truck on 10/28 and, after a 15-minute test drive, it ran well. However, after driving 150 miles into Mobile, Alabama, the transmission started acting up. I called the Mississippi dealer, who said they couldn’t help since their tests showed no problems. I then had the truck towed to a dealer in Foley, Alabama, where they diagnosed it as needing a new transmission.
I met with the Alabama GM, who escalated the issue to Ford Corporate. Later that day, they verbally approved the repair under warranty. However, Corporate later informed the GM that there were low battery messages recorded since September, indicating the truck was towed in Neutral Tow Mode and that certain speed and distance limits were exceeded. I never received any warning messages on my truck's screen or my Ford Pass app, which was part of the escalation.
The truck is still under the bumper-to-bumper warranty, powertrain warranty, and I purchased a 10-year/100K additional bumper-to-bumper extended service plan.
Has anyone else experienced this issue and received a satisfactory response from Ford Corporate regarding warranty repairs? Thank you for your help.
