5.4L Spark Plugs Seizing Problems

Hello all,
I too am about to attempt to change out my spark plugs on a 2010 5.4 L engine. Does any one have any other tips here, I have heard a using a 3/8" impact. Is there any special tool or plug socket I need? A 3/4" impact sounds abit extreme to me that I read in one thread. Should a stick to Stock plugs or use different ones?
